Why are bubbles produced in the use of silicone rubber?

Nowadays, Silicone rubber is widely used for architecture, food, life casting, electronic potting compound, injection products, prototyping, tire, screen printing, leather, shoes, and so on. However, when we use silicone rubber to make products, we will have some problems, such as the bubbles.

Why are bubbles produced in the use of silicone rubber?  How do we deal with bubbles?

1. The vulcanizing temperature is too high. Silicone rubber will solidify quickly at high temperature, in the process, air is difficult to be release, so the bubbles are easy to be produced. As a result, we can bake at low temperature firstly to release the bubbles, and then improve the temperature.

2.Vulcanization time is too short. When this occurs, silicone rubber is not be cured completely, and there will be a lot of bubbles. Consequently, we can prolong the curing time of silicone rubber to solve the problem.

3. Not vacuum pumping. After mixing silicone rubber and curing agent, on the practical situation, if you have vacuum machine, you can deal the mixture by it. If no vacuum machine, you can reduce the mixing ratio of silicone rubber and curing agent. Then the cross-linking  time of silicone rubber will be short, the air in the mixture will exhausted by itself for a longer curing time to release bubbles.
