In recent years, the markets for custom jewelry, handmade silver, cultural accessories and light luxury ornaments have developed steadily. Consumers have raised higher requirements on the fineness of patterns, hollow craftsmanship, wearing texture and product consistency of jewelry. Whether for factory mass production or designer independent prototyping, jewelry molding is a core process. As the production carrier, the mold material's detail reproduction accuracy, dimensional stability and durability directly determine finished quality and production cost. Jewelry mold silicone enjoys broad application prospects.

Prototypes of jewelry usually contain extremely fine structures such as filigree, prong setting, hollow pendants, reliefs and micro-setting, which set high standards for detail reproduction of mold materials. Traditional mold materials tend to lose patterns, blur edges or damage fine filigree during demolding. Jewelry mold silicone has low viscosity and excellent self-leveling performance. After mixing and defoaming, it can fully penetrate filigree gaps, hollow grooves and small recesses to achieve micron-level reproduction of jewelry prototype details. Finished products have sharp lines and complete patterns without missing or broken lines, restoring the designer's creative details to the maximum.
Platinum addition-cured system is a core advantage of this product. Unlike ordinary condensation-cured silicone, addition-cured silicone releases no small molecule by-products during curing. Therefore, it features ultra-low shrinkage and excellent dimensional stability. After repeated molding, jewelry products maintain consistent dimension, meeting the strict tolerance requirements of silver and alloy jewelry, avoiding size deviation and assembly misalignment. Meanwhile, the platinum system is environmentally friendly and odorless, free of heavy metals, meeting SGS and REACH testing standards. It does not corrode wax and resin prototypes during curing, does not contaminate jewelry surfaces, and fits export foreign trade ornament production scenarios.
Jewelry mainly consists of hollow, deep undercut and thin filigree structures, so the elasticity and tear resistance of silicone are critical during demolding. This jewelry-specific silicone is flexible with excellent resilience after curing, resisting tearing, whitening and permanent deformation when bent for demolding. Even dense filigree and hollow structures can be released completely without damaging weak details. Combined with high tear-resistant formula, the mold can be reused for many molding cycles, extending service life, greatly reducing material and labor cost from repeated mold making and cutting comprehensive production cost of jewelry.
This liquid silicone supports two mainstream molding methods: pouring and split-mold wrapping. Jewelry parts with simple structures can be cast directly with frame. Complex hollow and multi-surface jewelry adopts split-mold wrapping, with parting lines and exhaust grooves planned to avoid air entrapment. The product supports room temperature curing and can also be accelerated at 60℃ for fast vulcanization. It suits the rhythm of frequent style change and quick new mold opening in jewelry studios. During factory mass production, the transparent grade allows direct observation of internal casting state, facilitating bubble defect inspection and improving yield.

Industry trends show the jewelry industry is moving toward personalized customization and flexible production. Orders for custom wedding rings, cultural accessories and IP collaboration ornaments keep rising, featuring small batches, multiple styles and fast updates. Traditional hard molds have long mold opening cycles and high modification costs, which are difficult to adapt to fast iteration. Liquid silicone features short mold opening cycle. After the prototype is modified, the mold can be remade quickly, perfectly matching the fast new product launch and custom order receiving trend. Material suppliers keep optimizing formulas, launching jewelry silicone grades with different hardness, transparency and working time, and improving test reports to meet environmental compliance requirements for domestic and overseas jewelry exports.
