Wacker Debuts Self-Adhesive LSR at FAKUMA 2026

Wacker Chemie showcased its ELASTOSIL® LR 5471 liquid silicone rubber at FAKUMA exhibition, targeting automated overmolding and co-molding production. This two-component addition-cure LSR features built-in self-adhesion and no mandatory post-cure treatment, fully compliant with BfR food contact standards. Available in Shore A 40 and 50 hardness grades, it bonds firmly with plastic substrates without surface primer. Manufacturers can remove extra post-treatment workflows, lowering energy consumption and cycle time. It fits baby care items, white goods and non-implant medical devices. Many molders seek such easy-process LSR grades to boost high-volume production efficiency in Europe and North America.
