Product Features & Advantages
This silicone rubber stands out with exceptional high and low temperature resistance, working stably between -60℃ and 200℃ without cracking, aging or deformation. It has negligible shrinkage and excellent dimensional stability, guaranteeing high-fidelity replication of complex prototypes and molds. With robust tear strength, it resists abrasion and shearing, supporting repeated molding to lower production costs. It offers strong resistance to corrosive resin components, with a non-sticky surface for effortless demolding. Moreover, it is FDA certified food grade, non-toxic, odorless and eco-friendly, fully safe for direct food contact molding.
How to Use the Product
Step 1: Fully clean the original prototype and molding tools to remove dust, grease and impurities, preventing platinum cure inhibition.
Step 2: Accurately weigh Part A and Part B according to the selected 1:1 or 10:1 mixing ratio.
Step 3: Stir the two components uniformly at a slow speed to avoid uneven mixing and excessive air bubbles.
Step 4: Perform vacuum defoaming for 2-3 minutes to eliminate internal bubbles; without vacuum equipment, pour the mixture slowly along the mold frame.
Step 5: Build a mold frame with plastic or wooden plates around the prototype, then apply a thin layer of release agent (detergent/soapy water) on the prototype surface.
Step 6: Slowly pour the defoamed mixture into the mold frame, let it cure completely at room temperature to get a finished high-precision mold.
Critical Warnings for Platinum Cure Silicone
This RTV2 silicone uses a platinum catalyzed system, which is highly susceptible to cure inhibition. Do not let it contact with tin cure silicone, sulfur/sulfide substances, amine compounds, pewter solder flux and related materials during operation, as this will lead to incomplete curing or total non-curing. Always keep prototypes and tools thoroughly clean to ensure normal curing and qualified molding quality.
Application Scenarios
This high temperature silicone is widely applied in rapid prototyping fields including urethane casting, silicone tooling and vacuum casting, as well as GRC/concrete molding, PU resin casting and general industrial mold manufacturing. It also serves as a premium food grade mold silicone for food safe molding projects. Its superior heat resistance and high precision help manufacturers boost production efficiency, reduce mold scrap rates, and achieve stable, high-quality batch production for industrial and food processing industries.
