How Five QC Steps Keep HY-901 Pad Silicone Batch After Batch Hongye Silicone

Print shops fear batch variation more than high price. If hardness shifts by a few Shore points or viscosity runs high, operators must reset pressure and pot life, and occasional whole batches of heads fail. HY-901 is Hongyejie most used entry grade, so its process gets the tightest control.

Raw Material Gate

Every lot of base silicone oil, filler and crosslinker is tested for viscosity, volatile content and reactivity before unloading. Material that misses spec goes back to supplier. This keeps the starting formula the same every time.

Reactor Control

Base rubber polymerizes in stainless reactors under PLC monitoring. Temperature holds within plus or minus 2 C, and each batch keeps its temperature curve. Too hot gives narrow molecular weight, too cold leaves reaction incomplete, so the band matters.

Milling and Catalyst Test

Filler passes three roll mills in series, with fineness checked every two hours. Part B catalyst is parallel tested against the matching A lot for pot life and cure profile, so the 100:2 to 100:3 ratio behaves the same in any customer workshop.

Final Inspection

Before drum filling, QC tests viscosity, hardness, tensile, tear and elongation. Passing lots get a COA label with the reactor number. Customers trace any issue back to one batch.
