Pad Printing Silicone quality starts with raw materials. Hongye Silicone inspects every batch of base polymer, filler, crosslinker, and catalyst. Base polymers are tested for viscosity, volatile content, and molecular weight distribution. Fillers are checked for particle size and moisture, because large particles cause rough heads and moisture impairs curing. Catalysts are tested for active content to ensure consistent cure speed. Only materials passing all checks enter production.

This two component system requires weighing precision to one thousandth, because ratio deviation affects cure speed and properties. Automatic electronic scales record every batch for traceability. Planetary mixers first run low speed for pre dispersion then high speed for full integration. Mixing time and speed follow strict parameters, since under mixing causes uneven performance and over mixing introduces bubbles.
The mixed base passes through a three roll mill to break filler agglomerates, disperse uniformly, and remove impurities. Roll gaps and pressure are precisely adjusted. Milled base has finer texture, producing smooth heads with even ink pickup and sharp edges. This step directly affects print quality and is essential for high grade silicone.
Air entrapped during mixing and milling causes internal bubbles in cured heads, leading to cracking and short life. Hongye Silicone vacuum degasses before filling, slowly stirring in a vacuum tank so bubbles rise and break. Time and vacuum level are controlled, since insufficient degassing leaves bubbles and excessive degassing may volatilize components. Filled drums rest to let remaining bubbles rise.
Filling requires a clean environment. Each drum carries batch number, date, and shelf life. Before shipment, every batch is tested for appearance, viscosity, hardness, operation time, cure time, tensile, tear, and elongation. COA reports are issued only after all tests pass. HY-912 high grade additionally receives solvent resistance and repeated compression tests.
Hongye Silicone collects customer feedback regularly, and the technical team analyzes issues to improve production. When customers reported faster swelling with certain inks, the formula was adjusted for better solvent resistance. This closed loop continuously raises quality. HY-912 was developed from such feedback, with high tear and long life directly addressing high volume line customer needs.
