In recent years, the markets for scented relief candles, carved art candles and creative wax ornaments have expanded steadily. Consumers have raised higher requirements on the relief details, shape texture and consistency of candles. Whether for home aromatherapy, holiday gifts or souvenir markets, handmade candles with three-dimensional reliefs, flower carvings and European textures have become popular items thanks to stronger aesthetics and experience. As the core carrier of candle molding, the mold material's detail reproduction accuracy, durability and wax resistance directly determine finished quality and production cost. Relief candle mold silicone rubber enjoys broad application prospects.

Prototypes of relief candles usually contain three-dimensional reliefs, flower carvings, European patterns and complex surfaces, which set high standards for detail reproduction of mold materials. Traditional mold materials tend to lose patterns, blur edges or damage relief details during demolding. Relief candle mold silicone rubber features excellent fluidity and self-leveling performance. After mixing and defoaming, it can fully wet relief gaps, fine carvings and concave-convex textures, precisely restoring all relief details of the prototype. Finished candles have strong three-dimensional relief effect and clear lines without missing or broken patterns, presenting the design creativity to the maximum.
In terms of material performance, relief candles mainly consist of undercuts, deep reliefs and thin lace structures, so the elasticity and tear resistance of silicone are critical during demolding. This candle-specific mold silicone has high elasticity and excellent tear resistance after curing. Undercut, deep relief and thin lace shapes release easily without tearing, whitening or damaging relief details. The mold rebounds quickly without deformation, achieving high molding cycles and long service life. Meanwhile, the product resists paraffin and does not absorb oil or swell. It is compatible with soy wax, beeswax, paraffin and aromatic compound wax casting. After long-term contact with molten wax, it does not easily absorb wax, swell or turn sticky. The mold surface does not easily retain wax residue, facilitating cleaning and effectively reducing frequent mold replacement cost.
This liquid silicone supports two mainstream molding methods: pouring and multi-piece brush molding. Small relief candles and crafts with relatively simple shapes are suitable for pouring. The prototype is fixed with frame and silicone is poured slowly to fill patterns by self-leveling. Complex multi-layer reliefs and large art candles adopt split-mold wrapping. The first thin layer of silicone is brushed to cover relief patterns, fiberglass cloth is added for reinforcement, and then multiple coats are applied to reach required thickness. Parting lines and exhaust grooves are planned to avoid air entrapment. The product cures at room temperature without large heating equipment. When temperature is low, heating can accelerate curing, fitting prototyping in hand studios, small-batch customization and factory mass production.

Industry trends show the scented candle industry is moving toward personalized customization and flexible production. Orders for custom wedding candles, holiday limited-edition scented candles and IP collaboration candles keep rising, featuring small batches, multiple styles and fast updates. Traditional hard molds have long mold opening cycles and high modification costs, which are difficult to adapt to fast iteration. Liquid silicone features short mold opening cycle. After the prototype is modified, the mold can be remade quickly, perfectly matching the fast new product launch and custom order receiving trend in the candle industry. Material suppliers keep optimizing formulas, launching candle mold silicone grades with different hardness and working time, and improving product test reports to meet environmental compliance requirements for domestic and overseas scented candle exports.
