With a buttery soft consistency measured at a penetration of 150 plus or minus 30 (0.1mm) and a durably tacky surface, HY-9409 delivers reliable long-life sealing and protection that outlasts conventional gaskets, foams and caulks by a wide margin. The product is mixed 1:1 by weight, self-levels after pouring, cures at room temperature within 4 to 6 hours, and requires no vacuum degassing, making it a straightforward high-performance gel to deploy on production lines worldwide. As a cost-effective standard grade, this variant offers proven performance at a competitive price for high-volume production. It is engineered as the reusable gel core of physical fever-cooling patches, medical cold-compress pads and post-treatment aesthetic-medicine cooling masks, requiring biocompatible, skin-friendly material that stays soft at fridge temperature, conforms to body contours and can be returned to use after refrigeration. HY-9409 forms the transparent soft core inside laminated film or silicone-shell cooling pads: its low-modulus jelly body stays flexible even at refrigerator temperatures instead of hardening like rigid cold packs, so it makes comfortable skin contact across uneven surfaces, and it absorbs and releases thermal energy steadily during cooling cycles. The platinum-catalyzed addition-cure gel is odorless and biocompatible, supporting medical and skin-contact use with FDA/LFGB food-contact documentation and ISO 10993 biocompatibility testing available on request.

Manufacturers pour HY-9409 at 1:1 ratio into formed film or shell cavities where it self-levels and cures without vacuum; its anti-yellowing clarity keeps the pads visually clean through repeated refrigerator and freezer cycling, and its low tack prevents adhesion to packaging or skin beyond the intended contact layer. The gel tolerates standard medical wipe-down and the chemical environment of skin-care residue. APPLICATION & OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1 Mold preparation: Ensure the mold is clean, dry and free of oil, dust and cured silicone residue. For easy demolding, a small amount of soapy water can be used as a release agent; do not use sulfur-containing or silicone-oil release agents.

Step 2 Component B preparation: Before each use, stir component B thoroughly for at least 2 minutes. Catalyst can settle during storage; incomplete stirring causes soft or uncured spots.

Step 3 Weighing and mixing: Weigh A and B at exactly 1:1 by weight using a calibrated scale. Pour into a clean container and stir slowly for 3 to 5 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom. Avoid fast stirring which introduces bubbles.

Step 4 Pouring: Pour the mixed gel slowly into the mold and allow it to self-level. Pour along the mold wall to minimize air entrapment. For thick parts, pour in layers.

Step 5 Curing: Allow 4 to 6 hours at 25C before demolding; full properties develop after 24 hours. For mass production, heat-cure at 60-80C for 30-60 minutes. No vacuum degassing is required.

Step 6 Contamination prevention: Use polyethylene, nylon or nitrile gloves. Never use natural rubber latex gloves. Avoid contact with sulfur-containing materials, amines, phosphorus compounds, tin-cured silicone and PVC, as these inhibit the platinum catalyst.

 

PACKAGING:

Standard packaging options include 1kg trial kits (500g A + 500g B), 5kg kits, 20kg pails, 25kg pails and 200kg drums. Components A and B are supplied in separate containers within each kit. Custom packaging and private labeling are available for orders above 200kg. All kits are clearly labeled with batch number, manufacture date, expiry date and safety information.

FAQ:

Q: How long does the gel take to cure and can I speed it up?

A: At 25C the gel demolds in 4 to 6 hours and reaches full properties after 24 hours. For mass production, heat-curing at 60 to 80C reduces the cycle to 30 to 60 minutes. Do not exceed 100C. Low temperatures below 15C will slow the cure.

Q: Is the gel safe for skin and food contact?

A: The transparent HY-9409 grade uses food-contact grade, body-safe raw materials. It is odorless, BPA-free and can be supplied with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 and LFGB Section 30/31 test reports, making it suitable for intimate apparel, baby products and skin-contact items.

Q: Will the transparent gel turn yellow over time?

A: The premium anti-yellowing grade resists UV and thermal yellowing and keeps its clarity through normal service life. We recommend storing away from direct sunlight and avoiding contact with sulfur and amine contaminants, which can cause discoloration.

Q: How do I clean and maintain the finished gel product?

A: Cured gel can be wiped clean with mild soapy water or a damp cloth and dried naturally. Avoid strong solvents, sharp tools and prolonged high-temperature exposure. Store finished products away from direct sunlight to preserve clarity and softness.
