Gypsum is porous and absorbs moisture from silicone, which will cause sticky surface and incomplete curing without sealing treatment. Apply release agent after sealing. Weigh silicone and curing agent, mix evenly and remove bubbles by vacuum machine. Coat the first thin layer of silicone to fully fill facial features and recesses to capture all fine details. After the first layer cures, lay fiberglass cloth for reinforcement, then coat silicone layer by layer to reach required thickness. Demold slowly after full curing, then you can pour gypsum or resin to replicate portrait sculptures in batches.

Attention points during application: This is condensation silicone. Avoid contact with sulfur, phosphorus, nitrogen compounds and heavy metals, otherwise the silicone will fail to cure. Ambient temperature affects curing speed; higher temperature accelerates curing. Follow the recommended mixing ratio. Too much curing agent leads to fast curing and higher shrinkage, while insufficient curing agent causes incomplete crosslinking. Let the mold rest for 24 hours to release internal stress before use to reduce deformation risk. Keep working area ventilated and wear gloves to prevent long-time skin contact.
