928 Pad Printing Silicone is a two-component addition-cure room temperature vulcanized (RTV-2) silicone rubber, specially formulated for manufacturing high-performance pad printing heads (pads). In the pad printing process, the silicone pad serves as the core carrier that transfers graphics and text from the etched plate onto the product surface, making it ideal for fine printing on irregular curved surfaces, concave-convex surfaces, and small-sized products. Made from premium raw materials with a high-temperature resistant formula, 928 offers outstanding wear resistance, high-temperature tolerance, oil-free performance, and excellent printing results — the ideal choice for high-intensity production lines. Key Features
Addition Cure, Eco-friendly — Mixed at A:B = 9:1 ratio, cures without releasing low-molecular byproducts, ensuring a cleaner and more environmentally friendly process.
Low Viscosity, Good Fluidity — Easy to pour and degas, producing fully formed pads with no air bubbles and high detail reproduction.
Excellent Ink Pick-up and Release — Fully contacts the ink on the plate, transfers ink smoothly onto the product, with minimal residue and easy cleaning.
Fine Texture, Excellent Resilience — Free of impurities and particles, maintains shape after repeated pressing, enabling a high number of printing cycles.
Wear Resistant, Solvent Resistant, Oil-free — Resists ink solvent corrosion, does not exude oil or deform over long-term use, extending pad service life.
Zero Shrinkage — Dimensionally stable after curing, ensuring high precision in pad shape.
Standard Red Color — Allows easy observation of ink adhesion and transfer during printing.
Applications
Plastic toys, PVC toys, electronic toys — large-area pattern transfer
Electroplated products, hardware products — surface printing
Electronic products, communication device housings — logo and marking printing
Craft gifts, stationery, office supplies — graphic printing
Ceramic decals, glass products — pattern transfer
Trademarks, logos, eyewear, lighting — fine printing
Auto parts, medical devices — surface printing
Operating Instructions
Clean the pad mold thoroughly, apply release agent evenly, and place it on a flat surface.
Weigh components A and B at a 9:1 ratio. Stir component A well first, then add component B and mix thoroughly.
Pour the mixed silicone slowly into the mold to avoid air bubbles; vacuum degassing is recommended if necessary.
Cover with a board and allow to cure at room temperature for 4–8 hours before demolding.
Note: Adding silicone oil is not generally recommended. For extra-soft pads or fine-pattern molds, 5%–10% silicone oil may be added to adjust softness. Packaging & Storage
