Detailed Application Scenarios
Toy Industry Logo and Pattern Printing
HY-901 economy grade pad printing silicone is widely used for logo, brand identification, pattern, text, eyes and expression printing on plastic toys, electronic toys, educational toys, toy cars, toy figures, building blocks, puzzles and various other toy products. The toy industry features diverse product types, rapid updates and varying batch sizes, requiring high cost performance and versatility, and HY-901 economy grade perfectly meets these requirements.
Toy products usually come in various shapes including flat, slightly curved and small curved surfaces, and HY-901 with 30 Shore A hardness and 380% elongation can adapt to most flat and slightly curved surface printing needs. The ink transfer performance is stable with uniform pickup and clean release, producing clear and complete logos and patterns with full colors that meet the appearance quality requirements of toy products. For fine printing such as eyes, expressions and small patterns, HY-901 can also provide stable printing results.
The toy industry features rapid product updates with frequent new product development and new pad head fabrication, and HY-901 is simple and easy to operate with low technical requirements for operators, allowing beginners to quickly master the pad head making process and rapidly respond to new product development needs. Room temperature curing in 3-4 hours enables demolding with short pad head fabrication cycles allowing quick production start. The affordable price with outstanding cost performance makes comprehensive usage cost low for the small batch, multi variety production model common in the toy industry.
Electronic Product Housing Logo and Marking Printing
In the electronic product industry, HY-901 is used for logo, brand identification, model marking, parameter text, certification mark printing on phone cases, charger housings, power bank housings, Bluetooth earphone charging cases, smart watch housings, router housings, keyboards and mice, game controllers, USB flash drive housings and various other electronic product housings. The electronic product industry has certain requirements for printing quality, as logos and markings must be clear, accurate and wear resistant, and HY-901 can meet the general pad printing needs of small and medium batch electronic products.
Electronic product housings are usually flat or slightly curved surfaces made of materials including ABS, PC, PP, PVC, metal and more, and pad heads made from HY-901 can adapt to surface printing on these materials with stable ink transfer, producing clear and sharp logos and markings with neat edges without blurring, faintness or broken line issues. With linear shrinkage ≤0.3%, pad heads provide dimensional stability ensuring consistent printing positions across the same batch of products without left or right offset variations.
The electronic product industry often has small and medium batch trial production orders, custom orders, rework orders and more, and HY-901 with affordable price and outstanding cost performance provides low pad head fabrication cost with controllable comprehensive usage cost for these small and medium batch orders. Simple operation with short pad head fabrication cycles allows rapid response to urgent trial production and custom order demands. For budget conscious small and medium electronic processing factories and startup enterprises, HY-901 is the cost effective choice, providing stable and reliable printing results at an affordable price.
Application and Operation Instructions
Step 1: Preparation
Prepare HY-901 Part A and Part B, digital scale (0.1g precision), stirring rod, vacuum degassing chamber, pad head mold, release agent, nitrile gloves. Clean mold thoroughly with alcohol, apply thin release agent layer, dry 10-15 minutes.
Step 2: Weighing
Stir Part A and Part B separately. Weigh accurately at 100:2 to 100:3 ratio (e.g. 100g Part A + 2 to 3g Part B). Use precision scale, ratio error within ±0.1g.
Step 3: Stirring
Stir thoroughly for 3-5 minutes, scraping bottom and side walls to ensure uniform mixing. Stir gently to avoid excessive bubbles. Mixed silicone should have uniform color without streaks.
Step 4: Vacuum Degassing
Degas at -0.09MPa for 5-8 minutes until no more bubbles rise. Critical step for pad head quality, insufficient degassing causes pores and printing defects.
Step 5: Mold Pouring
Pour slowly along mold side wall, let silicone flow naturally. Fill slightly above mold level to compensate for curing shrinkage.
Step 6: Curing and Demolding
Cure at room temperature 25°C for 3-4 hours. Confirm full curing by finger press test. Demold carefully from edge. Rest 24 hours before use for optimal performance and longer service life.

FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between HY-901 economy grade and other models?
A1: The core feature of HY-901 is affordable price, outstanding cost performance and simple easy operation, specifically designed for small and medium batch general pad printing and budget conscious customers. HY-902 high wear grade has long pad head life for high volume automated production lines. HY-912 multi color universal grade has excellent resilience and high overprint accuracy for multi color overprinting and fine patterns. HY-916 super soft grade has excellent conformability for large curvature complex curved surfaces. Choose HY-901 for beginners, small medium batch production or budget conscious customers for the highest cost performance. Contact technical support for free consultation if unsure.
Q2: What is the approximate service life of pad heads made from HY-901?
A2: Pad heads made from HY-901 economy grade, under normal usage conditions, have an approximate service life of 50,000 to 80,000 prints, and the specific life is affected by multiple factors including printed product material, ink type, printing pressure, operation standardization and pad head maintenance. For small and medium batch production, this life is completely sufficient. If you have a high volume, high frequency automated production line with large daily printing volume, we recommend choosing HY-902 high wear grade with a life of 100,000 to 150,000 prints. Correct usage and maintenance can significantly extend pad head life. Free samples available for testing before bulk ordering.
Q3: Why does the silicone not cure or remain sticky after curing?
A3: Usually several causes: inaccurate Part B ratio, always weigh accurately at 100:2 to 100:3. Uneven mixing especially at container bottom and walls, always scrape and stir thoroughly for 3-5 minutes. Contact with curing inhibiting substances such as tin, sulfur or amine containing materials, ensure clean tools and containers. Expired or improperly stored Part B, store sealed and use within shelf life. Check these causes one by one, or contact technical support for assistance.
